When the Buckeye Bait Corporation started, they only made one lure, and this is it! But, when a bait looks this cool, why make others?
The Bug-N-Bass came in a 2 ½ and a 3 ½ inch line size and a variety of colors. This lure imitates an open mouthed fish (bass) chasing a bug. A man by the name of Kenneth Magoon out of Oklahoma came up with this design and assigned the rights to Buckeye Bait.
These baits are sought after by collectors for they have not been manufactured for decades, they look cool, and they make an attractive display. Common colors can sell for around $30 while rare uncatalogued colors can reach hundreds of dollars.
If you collect plastic baits, at least one of these is a “must have” for your collection.
