Question: What is Burger King called in Australia? Hungry Jack’s!
Well, I am not going to write about that Hungry Jack’s, but how about one of my all-time favorite collectible lures…the Hungry Jack.
Sold is a dark blue box, the Hungry Jack was designed with the notion that fish are very competitive and will eat each other. A fish is never safe as there is always a bigger fish in the lake. Competition is great, and one way to remove some of the competition is to eat it!
This lure imitates a larger fish (named Hungry) eating a smaller fish (named Jack). The open mouth on Hungry and the diving lip on Jack create an action like no other lure…a feeding frenzy right before your eyes. A bigger fish just can’t resist this and needs to get involved but attacking the bait.
If you collect old miscellaneous lures made by small companies, you must have this bait in your collection. However, it is very tough to come by and is heavily sought after by many collectors. This bait has been in my collection for over 30 years now, and I have no plans to part with it.
