Minnesota Lures
Isle
Isle is a city in Mille Lacs County, Minnesota, United States.

Its name in the Ojibwe language is "Chi-minising" (by the big island), due to being located right by Malone Island of Mille Lacs Lake, the largest island of that lake.

Mille Lacs Mfg Co
Joe and Evelyn Fladebo started Mille Lacs Mfg. Co. at their Mille Lacs Lake home in 1937.  In 1944 the business was moved to a larger building at Isle.  Their son Jim Fladebo joined the business in 1955.

This lure company made many lures, mainly spinners, and used the trade-mark of "Little Joe", an old time picture of a boy holding a large fish.

The Pokey-Joe looks just like the Slo-Poke, made in Mahnomen, MN...so I assume they bought the rights to this lure.  They also bought the rights to the Lazy Dazy from Preston, MN.
Mille Lacs Lake Spinner Co
This company made spinners on red and white cards.

While the name is similar, I do not think they are relayed to the Mille Lacs Mfg Co.
