Leroy was platted in 1867 when the railroad run through that area. It was named after Le Roy, New York where the first settler came from.

One thing about this bait that I find strange...I find more boxes for this lure than the lure itself. Very unusual. I believe this was a "Lazy Ike" style of lure.
